Default Agreed value prior to appraisal?

Long long time wannabe finally pulling the trigger. Hopefully will be picking up the bird in NM and driving it to ATL in a couple of weeks. Challenged with trying to obtain an agreed value insurance policy prior to getting an appraisal from John McGinnis. Concerned about the cross-country trip back from NM with only a NADA based policy.

I doubt there are any options - just thought I'd ask.

Some insurance companies will accept purchase price as value.

Try Blue Sky. They went with the purchase price on our coach.

Congratulations Clint – I know you’ve been looking for a long time! You were one of the first people to contact me when I listed my 84 ½ PT-36 for sale back in 2008!

Glad to see that you found “the one” for you.

Like Kip said... come to Pine Mtn this fall.

Ahhh yes … I've reflected back on that many many times. What a beautiful vintage bird that was.

Will definitely be at Pine Mountain, looking forward to it.

I was able to get an agreed value policy from Progressive just based upon my purchase price and $20,000 in invoices that I faxed the insurance company.

This was back in 2010 when many companies stopped writing Agreed Value policies. I was told this was one of the very last ones that Progressive issued, so I've been careful to keep it in force ever since.
