John, we always stay at Portal Rv resort. They cater to the off-road crowd, short walk/drive into downtown and trails.

Last time we stayed in Moab we were towing an enclosed trailer and stayed at Spanish Trail RV park. Our site was long enough to leave the trailer hooked to the coach. We were satisfied with the campground. It is in the edge of town going out the South side. If I were going back today, I'd stay there again.

Moab has a lot of camping options. We camped downtown once, but the campground was tight.

I'm not sure if it's off road vehicle friendly or not but we stayed for a few days last summer in a Passport America campground just a little south of Moab called "OK RV Park". Just a quite little campground.

Agree with Portal RV. Great facility...be sure to ask for the newer section.

The Moab Rim campground is where we stay for dirt biking adventures. In fact, we will be there later this month. They have RV sites, cabins and tent camping and they are friendly to everyone. Jeeps, bikes, classic cars or anyone else. Not the fanciest place in town but very good value for the money.

Just a short way south of town on the main road.

The KOA did their best to run us off about 12 years ago and they succeeded. Lost a lot of business from my group. We normally have between 15-25 for a week for the last 12 years. Hope they don't treat everyone like they treated us.
