Default Protective Front Film Removal

I believe this has probably been discussed before, but how do you get this stuff off? I believe it's a 3M product that should never have been used. I understand a heat gun is the best alternative but would require repainting afterward.

Is there any new advice to share.

Thanks

Brian a search under 3M, film etc will bring up info on this old problem. If my memory serves me correctly I think the only successful removal took days to accomplish.

Hey thanks, thats what I have heard, use the old heat gun, but I did learn from the site you sent to review is to keep the heat down and use a plastic scraper. That should keep the paint from blistering. Off to buy a heat gun and spend a day or so in front of the coach. I had that stuff put on when we bought the coach in 2000 but after 11 yrs in the sun it looks like ****.

Dan Sunderland has a product that is supposed to work while not harming the fiberglass. I believe he was in touch with someone who recommended this product. When I was at Dan and Cindys home we did some experiments that produced a couple unfavorable results. Dan?--
