Default New member and Bird owner in Ohio

Bought a 1999 40LX one owner. We just did a 1,200 mile roundtrip to upstate New York and ran flawlessly. Looking forward to taking a month this summer to explore the western national parks and already have a campground in Naples booked for January.

Welcome to WOG. There are a lot of great people and information available here. We love having "newbies" and hope you enjoy your coach as much as we do. Many moons ago I used to live in your neck of the woods at Upper Arlington, so I am familiar with Plain City. Hope to see you on the road. On your way down to Naples in the fall stop by our biggest and best rally at Pine Mountain, GA it officially starts on the 13th but many stay the whole week from the 10th. There are around 130 or so coaches there and it is the best way to meet people that love these Birds and can help you out if needed.

We just purchased a low milage M380--been planning for this coach for eleven years. Took delivery and drove the coach 1150 miles home. No issues, loved the machine. Like always we have small items to repair and keep up. Best advise I received from a friend with lots of Class A RV time. "If you like to work on things a Class A is the place.
We are looking forward to traveling the Northwest of US this summer and up to Eastern Canada in August heading south with the color change in the fall. That is if Canada opens their border.
We plan to do some work on the interior tailoring it to our specifications and likes. We are debating changing to the Lithium Batteries-- the Jury is still out on our decision.
There are many features I love about the coach, solid built, stainless steel, storage areas, heavy frame, quiet and smooth ride, large shower and toilet area. The 400 horse Cummins offers outstanding performance. There appears to be a great deal of engineering detail including in the design--which I appreciate. I think it is a "classic" and will serve us well into the future.
I really enjoy reading all of your stories and hearing about issues and problem solving on the Bluebirds. All the best, we hope to meet you on the road someday.

K & D
