They are famous for throwing the dinner rolls across the room (sounds crazy but its fun). The food is basically southern cooking and its great. Also, I believe all of the locations have bus/rv parking.
They also operate the Potato Patch in Houston. Just ate there three nights ago. Met the owner. I think he said he owns them all. He sits there in a motorized cart and greets all the patrons. Sue and I caught one roll each and they were delicious. Was fun to watch the chucker and the kids. You could tell the kids were in little league.

Default post your favorite places to eat

OK, all you lovers of Mexican Food - If you are traveling on I-59, North or South, between Chattanooga and Birmingham, when you get to the Ashville/Oneonta, Alabama exit, exit to the south on 231 South. Go about a mile toward Ashville and in a strip mall there you will find Mi Casita. Authentic Mexican fare - seafood that rivals any in Mexico, shrimp, octopus, fish/chorizo/soft tacos/goat/etc, etc, etc. If you prefer there's plenty of americanized (tex mex) food, but the best is the real thing. Host/Owner Gilberto Diaz and his family will fix you what you want if he's got it. Open seven days a week.

Martha and I eat there 1-2 times a week since it is only about 10 miles from where we live. We eat Mexican all over the country and we think this is the best.

The best place for Ribs I have found is Pearl Country Store and Barbecue in Micanopy, Florida off of Hwy 441 Its not much more than a gas station but I will drive the 45 miles from my house for the ribs.

Reading about the food made me hungry and thinking about another place to go. Claim Jumpers is mostly out west but they have migrated to the Chicago area. Went to my first one in Monrovia, CA when visiting an aunt in Pasadena. The food is outsanding and the service is even better. It's one of those places that most people leave with a doggie bag, because you get so much. The one I went to in Naperville, IL was just as good, so it was no fluke.

Guys,

I'm earning major points here but my favorite place to eat on the road is wherever my wife sets my plate!
