If you haven't already read this thread, worth a read. Tom posts how to test the rotor and there is a tip about checking a small fuse which you may have already done.

Thanks Markus, I did check the fuses. I found a service center not to far away. I'm burned out from trouble shooting this and may be missing a crucial step so I'll get a fresh set of eyes to look at it. Since I've replaced all of the obvious parts maybe they can pinpoint it. Thanks Jim

Good news when I was installing the rear vent cover I noticed that a wire had been caught between the end cap and the armature housing, which went to leg two and had been cut. Repaired the wire and she started up with power to both legs. I'm ready for my trip back the SC and GA in March. Thanks for everyone's help.

Hi, can some one give me the 3 relay 4 wire model or part #s , in the pic. in post # 15 also the bigger 6 wire relay part # ??
My gen. will not start, so will change the relays. It's a 1hr. drive to my sis. ranch, so would like to have relays in hand to save a trip. I'm also changing the starter solenoid, i took out the old one, but could not get the gen. to slide back in until i reconnected the solenoid, can i jumper some of the wires, and if so which ones, so i can get the gen. to slide back in ?? Thanks Rod

Ed, I may have the same problem. I have no forward or reverse continuity on two of the diodes. The markings on the diode look like 6QD4. Did you find a replacement. I did find a Kohler diode 233959 that looks the part. Thanks, Bill....

Bill, Got all parts through Buckeye Power in Indianapolis, Indiana. They are a kohler dealer. Was able to get exact replacement. Shipped quickly-good luck.

Ed, I'm guessing the 233959 is an acceptable replacement. It is a Kohler part as well. Thanks, Bill....
