Default side marker lights on all birds

KC?
are you paying attention?

A few days ago KC was saying he wanted his side turn lights on his coach to also be side marker lights.
To make that happen would take a lot of work running new wires .

Well, good ole Rick mentioned to me that you could do it with relays.
After i talked to Rick,Mike and i were talking about it,along with Blake and they reminded me of the semis that have daytime running lights, that flash when they use turn signals.

So,if we could have those side lights be on,whenever the coach is running,we could use a bosch relay to make the lights blink when we turn the turn signals on.

I like this idea!
Now KC,you get on this and get it all figured out,OK?

Assuming the sides are separate on the wiring harness, one might need to split them in half before the relays to get them to blink independently side to side.

I believe that the Tyco Relay (old Bosch) would have to be wired to the ground side of the light rather than the 12v side of the light, using the 12 volt from the rear turn signal as the relay trigger, but having the ground do the flashing.......................I think.

On my last 2 birds I added a second light above the lights already there. This allowed me to have one set of lights on all the time, and the other set to act as blinkers. I do not know how it was done, but if anyone knows where Tim Gunter is I think he knows how it was done.

I may need to work on this. KC and I talked about it a couple weeks ago. I had forgotten all about it.

Been thinking about it a bunch. Paul Moushon & I were scribbling up a diagram or 2 before he left. Project moved to back burner for a while. Will get back to it in a few weeks. Will be spending some time running around FL next few days. Son is touring with "Get The Led Out" - Jax last night - Gainesville tonight - then Orlando - Tampa - Tallahassee - W. Palm Beach - Birmingham AL - Charlotte NC - Durham NC before returning to PA.
BTW - I still have 4 new matched side lights and think doubles would look great on the coach - but its that darn wiring issue I have to deal with
Besides if I touch any wires on the coach I might get electrocuted
