Rick,

This what Ryan posted in the Parts Forum:

"There is a common opinion at Parliament (as I have heard the same statement from several people) that once a ball joint has been compromised via a torn boot, it must be replaced and not repaired with one of our boot replacement kits I will just leave it at that for now..."

I did not read this as a company policy.

Perhaps I misunderstood this entire issue. I was under the impression that the only reason Ryan made the two piece boots was so we would not have to take the ball joints apart.

What did I miss?

It may be a liability for a company to do this for you. They were made so that owners could keep dirt out of their ball joints. We added the grease fittings as a way to preserve them for a lot longer. As previously stated, it may be a liability DOT regulations if something would happen after a company did this. And be liable for law suits if you had an accident. We have installed the bottom boots on our coach and put the fitting in, and we made a top boot out of the CV joint boot and installed the grease fitting. The CV joint boot was not a good fit but has worked for a year. Am glad to see the new top boot is being made. Hope to install as soon as it is available. This is something you can do.

I hear you on liability issue Doc.

I am still on the road in my car returning home from a death in my family in Oklahoma (went real close on the Indian Nation Turnpike to Mallie's new barn). I will call Parliament on Monday and see what they want to do. No hard feelings. I will totally understand if they have liability issues. I can get someone else to do it, if necessary...with Ryan's instructions.

As far as I know my ball joints are just fine.

Injection molded boot parts this evening and it all went well with zero hiccups as I think the pictures speak for themselves?

The new boot fits the smaller top ball joint perfectly with just a slight amount of play. So, be ready to place your orders once I get some pricing in place...

Many thanks to Randy Dupree for keeping me in line! Jim Brookshire for his M380 technical prowess and Ron Rueckwald for just being a good friend at all times, thanks guys!!

It is nice to see the old Nessi machine working, it has come a long way from that old dusty machine that we loaded on your trailer last year.

It's turned out to be a great investment John. I had good help with the rigging for sure I look forward to you seeing it go when you get here after Flywheeler's!

Ron, I am going to say this as plainly as I can... DO NOT create an issue at Parliament that doesn't exist, do you hear me? If you do, I WILL NOT provide any product for you, hear me again?? If you have any doubts, just ask away

I understand that Parliament agreed (via large and small talk) to do boot installations for you on the 20th? Nothing has changed via Parliaments end has it? Have they called you and told you no?? If not, please just let it go!

Time for some Rolaids on my end
