Default Damaged Bumper

I was moving the bird out of its spot and snagged the retaining wall. Any chance of repairing this?

That will be a tough fix. You might take a port a power, jack or your Toad and with blocks of wood between the bumper, push the bumper back a bit.

If memory serves the Mack dealer in Pendleton had a Body Shop. They could make it straight again but the Chrome could come off the bent area.

Good Luck.

My bumber is in third's having the gen set up front.
When I got the bird 8 years ago the driver's side had a slight pullout also.
Pulled it off and took a torch to it and heated it up and bent it back into shape. It didn't hurt the chrome, fortunaly for me.
If it can't be done a school bus supply company can get you one. It would have to be chromed tho.

I would take that to a bumber shop and not try to bend it back yourself if you want to save that one. They have shops here in Phx that do recycle bumpers. It's easier to pull them back out then to push them back in from my experience.

Lots of energy to push it back, More damage can occur to the front corner. And it may not look good.

What does a new one cost? In the long run it may be cheaper and look much better if you can locate a new OEM or a really nice used chrome bumper. If the cost of a replacement is more than your insurance deductible put in a claim. That's what insurance is for. Alot of insurance policies have accident forgiveness now. Too bad the bus was not hit while parked, your deductible is usually waved in that case and you are not penalized for it with a higher premium. Look into using your insurance before trying to fix that one. You may get a brand new one for free.

Here is a few pictures after the repair. The guy who did it made a couple of slices on the top and bottom lips where the steel stretched. If you get up within a couple of feet you can see the cracking in the chrome.

I'll probably have the whole thing rechromed in the future as there is some sort of discoloration on the passenger, I mean co pilot, side.

Default Looks pretty good to me.

That doesn't look bad at all. Of course you, knowing it is there will see it everytime you look at the coach but most people will not notice it.
