I might be in love. pusher with a rear window in the bedroom and center entry! an early, but diesel and air suspension and brakes too. just needs a good motor swap.

1970 Wanderlodge SP 35

Wanderlodge is a division of Bluebird School buses. In 1965 they began building motorhomes at their Factory in Georgia. in 1970 they built 6 prototype coaches on a entirely different platform. Engines in the rear instead of the front, air suspension instead of leaf springs and air brakes instead of hydraulic. In many ways, these prototypes were superior to their usual offerings. But the coach was very expensive, $150,000, which in 1970 was many times the cost of the average house... they never built them again... not only is this motorhome very rare is also rides like a dream and it's much quieter then coaches of a similar vintage. These buses are built extremely strong and all their parts are still readily available as they use components found in commercial truck equipment. This is your chance to own a little piece of History which is also entirely functional. The coach is a real crowd-pleaser... always draws plenty of waves and smiles wherever it goes.
This coach has been well cared for and has very low miles considering it's age.
Equipment;
*Automatic levelers to level coach while parked
*espar high efficiency diesel heater made in Germany warms coach and preheats engine for easy starting
*Stereo, GPS and hands free phone
*large fridge

*two direction passenger seat
*rebuilt power steering
*6 sp automatic with trans-brake
*3208 CAT diesel engine
(60k miles)
*upgraded plumbing

I have 2 of those coachs, one being renovated as we speak.
8.3 Cummins,6 speed allison,diesel genny.
The one posted here has a 3208 cat,not a bad engine for a bus,but if you want to do an engine swap i have the parts,8,3 Cummins and several choices of transmissions.

I like how the low FMCA number. My Barth is 94562, which is the lowest I've seen in my neck of the woods.

I've got a 4 digit number that was my dad's. Still have the plaques but I'm not a member.
