Default LX40 Hydraulic Hose Replacement

On July 19th, I had my first towing adventure with my LX40. Needless to say, I won't be upset if it is my last. The cause for the tow adventure was due to a hydraulic hose on my fan motor rupturing. While the bus was in for the ruptured hose, I had the others replaced. Attached are pictures of the old and new hoses. I would happily post the part numbers used that it might help someone, however I was told that the Parker Hoses and Fittings were all custom made.

Thanks, Jim. I was very pleased with the quality of work. The staff was a pleasure to deal with. I thought about you a couple of weeks ago as Priscilla and I were passing the Clemson, SC area.

Thank you, Sir. I believe it's too tight for most folks, Bill. The facility regularly services buses so it was child's play to them. They did a full check over and told me I was good to go.

Yes, I usually spend a week each fall down there, especially when I go to WOG. My oldest friend lives down there. We served together in '66 to '68 and he hasn't been well lately and it worries me. We won't be going down this year because I want him to concentrate on getting well.

I am hopeful that he will overcome his health challenges. All my best.

I be happy with the fitting info, hose size and lengths if you can. Be mighty nice to have them waiting when I change them. I know I have a few on my coach I need to address. One big one, I think it comes from the pump to the back corner, dips down below the frame under the engine and has been ‘rubbed’ at least once. One thing I invested in was fitting wrenches, long long extensions and fitting sockets. I want to be able to get to them myself if I have to. I rather be proactive than stranded. Now like I’m going to do anything before the WOG. This year been a tough year with the car accident. I hope your friend is on the mends. My uncle was over 68/69 and is hanging on.

Sorry Chris, I would happily post the part numbers used that it might help someone, however I was told that the Parker Hoses and Fittings were all custom made. If I had further information I would not hesitate sharing.
