Question A strange erratic noise????

On the way to Quartzsite and stopped over in Tampa to visit kin and friends before trip west. During 2 hr plus trip from Titusville to Clearwater, could not figure what a vibrating sound for a few seconds to about a minute max. Sounded like it was coming from below the bus, but all meters, etc. were ok and bird drove smoothly with no burps - except for the darned noise. Speed didn't seem to matter but we drove most of way at 60. Since it's a pusher, transmission and engine are not at front. Climbed under but saw nothing loose. Could it be tied to steering plus?? or ?? May run over to Parliament before we leave to pick their brains. Ideas greatly appreciated

Could you have had a piece of plastic or other road debris get hung up under the coach causing it to vibrate against the metal parts.

Did you have the generator running up front during this time you heard the sounds?

Ed, we had a noise under the passenger seat on rough roads; sounded like the bus was coming apart. Took it to Mike H's shop and he found a loose shock. Doesn't sound like what you have described though. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for all input - - - Just came back from Parliament and set up an "under" check for 7:30 am Tuesday (tomorrow) - to look at shocks, steering plus, ujoints, etc. - - - . They're 6 minutes from RV park here in Clearwater - - and we'll leave on our trip from there. FYI, they were hinting long waits until I mentioned that we would normally be at BBird rally in a couple weeks, but are heading Quartzsite, cuz we'd never been there in "season" - - he then said - "I'll just make the appt at 7:30 am."
Hope they find something - - or not!!

Lightbulb Great description of noise

Carolyn suggested it sounded like we were on the "shoulder rumble strip" but of course we were not - - - and no tire vibration.
Hope that helps Parliament find it this am.

Ed, I would just say there have been many surfaces that I have driven that left me feeling there was a issue .

this was even on surfaces that looked smooth . try moving from one lane to the other and a different spot on the lane . good luck and I hope its nothing
