Ouch. We will be in Camp Verde next winter, but won't be going to Jerome in the bus.

We were on a Jeep road above Jerome early last month, looking at the view from about 1/2 mile away, when a class A towing a car started up the hill. From that distance we could hear scraping metal at every switchback.

I learn best by screwing up - - someday will be almost smart!! Maybe the bus driver will be "smarter"

In your bus the feeling would be a little different than driving for some one.

We made the drive from Prescott through Jerome to the Vertie Valley on 89A. This was a very bad idea. We lost our breaks in the middle of Jerome. This was to say the least one of the scariest things I have ever encountered.
We were driving our old motorhome with hydraulic brakes and the brake fluid boiled. 89A is one of the most scenic roads in Arizona but do not ever drive this road over Mingus mountain in a motorhome. There is another section that is pretty bad and that would be through Sedona up to flagstaff.

Glad we were on the 'home' side of this, it shut down the highway!

Joe! What you were in Jerome and didn't drop over the hill and say Hi! What UP?
I followed a gentleman up 89A from the "Preskit" once in my service van. He was either so scared or sick of his wife's screaming by the time he hit Copper Canyon he just parked it in the middle of the road. Had to call DPS and they got a driver to take him back the way he came. Poor Fella!

I would worry about the trans and engine oil pans, and what happened inside.

I have been working on my variable height HCV rod. A rod with a small air cylinder in the length. Hit the air to the little cylinder to make the rod a couple of inches longer, to lift the body. I will post the BOM and picture soon.

89A does separate the drivers from the novices.
