Default generator update

With a lot of help from friends, it looks like we may have narrowed the problems to starter solenoid and maybe electrical issue in rear of Kohler.

Looks like it! 20 guys standing around, one or two actually working.... or in this case sitting around.

Default Generator update since RATS

I tried to find my original topic about my generator dying, but couldn't.
Anyhow, after RATS, and all the help I had there, and I sure did appreciate everyones efforts, it came down to the fact that the slip rings, brushes and brush holder were defective and that led to the demise of the voltage regulator.
So- after $360 worth of parts and Ralph doing what he does best, and me handing tools, I have a generator that works.
I am so relieved.

Glad you got it fixed Ernie. And sounds like you got it done plenty cheap.

I found it and I'm moving your post and its replies over to it at Wanderlodge Owners Group > Mechanic's Corner > Generators > GENERATOR Yanmar/Kohler
