Default Need help on Dashboard switch issues

On the road from Fort Stockton TX west to Las Cruises and on on ? I-10 toward Oregon.
1. Exhaust Brake was not working. Unscrewed Dashboard, checked connections reassembled and it worked.
2. No tail lights, no parking lights. Depressing Parkinglight switch, turned it all on. So again Dashboard off, noticed Lightswitch somewhat unglued. Pressure on switch to the right makes it all work. So inserted some cardboard to hold it there, it works Thought I had it fixed but now again Exhaust Brake does not work and going into the mountains it would be a must to have.

Anybody knowing an Electrical Shop who could fix these issues, in this area would be greatly appreciated.

If your jake is like mine, it will stop working if you turn the switch off while it is engaged in slowing the bus down. To get it working, you have to shut the engine down to let the computer shut off, then restart. Found that out from this forum AFTER spending lots of bucks to get it fixed.

Default Light Switch

I was having headlight switch problems and just bought a new switch from NAPA. I don't know what your switch model number is but they seem to carry them or can get them in a day. Someone else can probably give you the Wanderlodge switch number. My number for a BMC as i recall was Echilin HL 6669

And BTW, that NAPA card is great. I have used it several times and have gotten from 30-50% off.

Thanks to whoever found that deal!

There are pictures of the switch that Lee is talking about in these threads;

Thank you all for the help.
I took the Dash of again, discovered a wire I must have pulled off the first time on the Exhaust Brake, reconnected, works great also the concoction (the bottom of an Orangejuce carton) holds the light switch in place for it to work.
So I am in business. Will get a new switch at NAPA asap.
Again thanks for the Forum Help

Just a comment,

I can shut my Jake off while it is engaged and it will work as normal again without shutting off engine.

These things sure have variety!
