Default First fluid change on my bird

I am having my fluids changed out on my sp36 tomorrow and I don't want to miss anything so if you have any particular ideas or must do's please let me know. I don't have a clue what fluid I have in the zf, but I am going request dexron III unless someone has a better idea.

You will be fine with Dextron III. Draining the sump will yield about 4.5 to 5 gallons. The entire ZF system contains about 8 gallons.

Do not let anyone talk you into using one of those fancy new flushing machines unless you are looking for trouble.

Default ZF

I purchased a spare factory rebuilt SP ZF transmission. The OEM stickers are still on it. One of the stickers specifies synthetic fluid for the transmission.

I'm going in to get some of my fluids changed and checked, brakes adjusted and checked and a lube anything I should be looking for or should check while they're on it ?

Is it ok to add on to a thread or should I have started a new one ?

Kiki,
Adding to a thread is fine as long as it is the same subject. If you add different subjects to a thread it makes it tough for people searching for specific information. We are all guilty of wandering off a thread subject, some of us just can't resist adding our 2 cents
