Default Verizon Discounts

Mac and I have had a employer discount with Verizon... but now that I have retired from that company I was told I could not use that option... I called and was told even though we do freelance for them we did not qualify... but when the sweetest CSR I have ever talked to told me that because I was a retired military person I could get another discount... she told me Verizon takes care of ALL vets... I was told all I needed to do was to go into one of their stores and present my ID/DD214 and a picture ID and I could get another discount.

Is anyone receiving this discount???

Presently we are a far piece from a Verizon store... but it sound good... this seems to be a discount that is not advertised... when I get to Perry next month I will be in there.

Comments????

Thanks Eddie. Verizon is moving into Canada soon and I am happy. I have had a Verizon plan for going on ten years and love it. I use the North America Plan and my phone works great up here and even better down south. When they get here I'm going to ask for the ex-military discount.

Woody is right but the discount is not given on all items. Can't remember what all its on but like you say "10 percent is 10 percent".

I haven't told them I retired and still get the 22% company discount. I think it is because I am still young and good looking.
