Default Newbie Today!

Hello, I am Tom Atencio. Today is my first day of retirement! My wife Shelly and I are in the market for a Bluebird! We live in Littleton Colorado and have too many dogs (3). It is time to get busy living, we want to do some traveling and maybe do a little Snowbirding! I have two Oldsmobiles, a 68 442 that I have restored and a 70 F85. I've decide to sell the 70 to help towards the acquisition of a Wanderlodge. Shelly is on board and I want to show her one in person so she will really fall in love with them. Anyone around Colorado that has one that we could tour???
Thanks for allowing me to join the group and we can't wait to join in on a Bluebird event!

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Hey Tom, why not book a flight to Atlanta and come down to Pine Mountain for WOG. Several hotels and cabins available at the campground. You would be able to see just about every model. We would also get a chance to welcome you to the group. Lots of fun!!!!

We will be in the Denver area today or tomorrow for the gem and mineral show. Our plan is to stay at the Boulder County fairgrounds. We will be there through next weekend. PM me if you would like to come see the bus.

Default Threading a needle on a huge scale!

Thanks for the welcomes and input! So I am thinking I'd like to have like a 36' or less SP coach. These are some images I tried to capture of the front approach to my yard and the satellite view of the yard as well. I used to have a 28' Fleetwood Flair that I parked in back along the garage. It was kind of a tight squeeze. Until we downsize the house, I will need to keep my bus out back. Unless of course we are always on the road?

Howdy and Welcome. I don't believe the driveway would be any problem , at least not for a 37 ft BMC.

Randy is correct , the best place to look at Birds is at WOG or another rally.

Tom,

Welcome to the forum.

You really can't go wrong with a Wanderlodge. Best motorcoach for the money in my opinion.

This forum makes keeping one a lot easier and often less expensive. It's an active group with a lot of collective knowledge.

I have a 1996 WB that I currently have stored in Sheridan CO. I'd be happy to give you a tour and tell you what I know about these machines and this group.

I'll send you an email with my contact info.

Welcome Tom. A lot of us are old car fans. I have a '58 Edsel wagon, which I brought to Pine Mountain some years ago, when we had a small show there. You do need to go the rally, as Randy has stated. Plus, there is always some for sale. I don't think you will regret going. Admission is free.

hello and welcome,
I am newbie as well, i fell in love with the whole blue bird wanderlodge family, just like family, there is the wise and wise guys..
i just finished with doing the VW circuit thing, not many newbies wanting do do anything but judge. i left the whole thing behind me.
i was super lucky on getting my WB (wide body) my wife fell in love with the whole lifestyle as well. we will be going full time within the next 2 years, last kid heading to collage, nest empty and going on the rental boards.
need a bit of extra $$ for my Detroit 92 2 stroke.. as i say fuel economy...where? i just love the smell of diesel smoke in the morning
the main key here is... search.. use it, this forum has lots of knowledge, with lots of previously same questions but every model is its won personality.

when you get your wanderlodge, ask for the owners operators box, its a file box of what equipment is in your bird. including wiring diagrams, very important,
ask about any modifications that where done and note them. not everyone is a master mechanic buy all are playing MacGyver ( sp?)
