Default Air line type

Since I have been looking into the air throttle I have been inspecting the current air system in my coach. The PO had a new Horton(?) air controlled fan installed. The installer ran a nylon air line, with a plastic wire loom around it, from the plumbing at the rear of the wet tank (no perssure protection), up through the doghouse and to the new valve in the right compartment behind the headlight panel. He then ran another nylon line with plastic loom to the fan clutch.

So shouldn't the tap be made after the pressure protection valve, and shouldn't the line section through the doghouse and down to the fan be copper or stainless steel braided hose?
