Question Mystery Light

Ok, been working on all my lights and for the life of me, can't figure out what these lights are for. Nor can I figure out how to get them to light up. We had these same lights on our other FC as well and couldn't get them to light either. Maybe all the bulbs are toast, but that's highly unlikely. I tried to remove them but the screws are rusted in place and will break if we try and harder.
I know they aren't reverse lights and they are not security lights. I'm also not asking about the tiny red reflectors. I mean the light below it.
What are they?

Three choices. Added PO lights. Back up lights that you ruled out but why. Rear docking lights 0ther words for back up lights but that's ruled out.

Rear landing lights. Switch on dash then has to be in reverse to light up.

Those were labelled "Parking Lights" on my '82. They could be switched on without being in reverse. New FC's have to be in reverse for these lights to go on. When you switch on the security light switch in the bedroom, they should go on regardless of any other switch, gear or key position. That said, yours don't look factory.

I ruled out the other lights because we started the coach and used every light we could to see if any were out and those never lit up. of course we didn't put it in reverse with the landing lights on. Will try that. Thanks!

On my 85 the switch is labeled rear parking. Works in any gear, regardless of key position.

We aran the bus last night and turned on all the exterior lights. Even the landing lights with the coach in reverse, those mystery lights never even flickered.

I do have to say, the LEDs look awesome!

They are the rear parking lights, look for rear parking lights switch on dash, likely an H3 bulb in each like a fog lamp. In reverse with switch on they will light if good bulb, connection and breaker/fuse.

If you replace the bulbs, don't touch the new ones with your bare fingers. The halogen bulbs burn so hot, oils on the fingers will burn into the glass and eventually crack the bulb. Wear gloves or use a towel to install the bulb.
