Looking at the engine from the back of the bus it is in the water jacket to the left and just forward of the water pump on mine. It is a bulb looking instrument with two wires attached by screws if original. If not painted it will have a small sticker with Kysor or possibly Medallion on it. Temp rating is stamped on the hex part. Use a mirror to see that. Original temp spec is 195. If working properly you should see engine water temp cycle between 195-205 subject to OAT and under /overshoot while driving. This for 8-92.

Alright heah. Medallion no longer will sell you one individually unless you have a company. So, make up a company and scam them. If that does not get it go here. Call!
MEI Corp. Peachtree City. Guess that is in ATL. 770-631-9394. Every number I posted above is correct. The part is available. The - number indicated the temp rating. So, -30=190. -31=195, and so on in 5 degree increments.

Maybe John will consolidate this info somewhere. My fingers and this BlackBerry are less than compatible.
All the phone numbers work because I called Medallion. That is where I got the distributor's number. I did not order the part!

Medallion can cross the numbers. Call. I do not have number.
Medallion. 1002-07478-30=190
The dash number at the end indicates the temp value.
Verify with Medallion prior for PN changes as I changed mine 3 years ago.

Change the sensor. If everything else is good the fan will cycle. That is the way that works.
Adios for now.

OK finally tracked down the sensor ( Medallion #1002-07478-30=190 or Medallion 1002-07478-31=195 ) in question at Ross electrical supply (908) 352- 9721, for $79 and change. A snap to install ( 3 minutes ).
Shane, I hope you see this and it answers your question as I don't have your e-mail.

Tom Sorrentino.
Here is the thread you need. I PM'd you but do not know if it went through. My BlackBerry and this site have domestic issues.
If you have questions reach me at jwasnewski@yahoo.com or 850-830-1617.
