Does anyone out there have a 1998 41 LXI that could tell me the location of the center ac drain I know where the front and rear are but not the middle.
Thanks Chris wainscott

The air conditioner is fixed and it wasn't the circuit board. The problem was with the digital controller on the wall where one of the wires had come loose and the tech thought it was a very different installation since it was ribbon to phone line to ribbon to phone line to ribbon to phone line. He seemed to think it could have just been phone line the entire run. But at least if something happens now I will start with the digital wall thermostat.

Is there a replacement for these thermostats? The PO replaced the rear and middle A/C units with controls on the unit cover. He didn't replace the front at the time but says it quit working. The thermostat has no display. It may had been the thermostats all along.

Kip
You'll need to get up on roof remove cover and write down model #'s on
AC then contact Dometic [usual supplier for Birds] to order needed parts.
Check cable to wall thermostat while your up there.

Is this the fusable link your talking about. If so I should be able to jump across them just to see if the A/C cools?

no thats not it, but if you follow the line of the arrow straight down past the capacitor, you'll see the white block with the V notch in each end, there's is supposed to be a really small wire across the hole, thats the fusuble link and if you just solder a single copper wire strand across the hole to the solder on each end , the A/C should work again

Thanks Tim, the fuse was shot. I removed it and soldered a copper wire in place. I thought that might turn on the thermostat above the driver but no luck. Two questions, is there a way a jump the A/C unit on the roof to start the unit to see if it even works. Can the thermostat on the wall be replaced with an aftermarket unit? I've read elsewhere that a digital Hunter thermostat is widely used.

Chris

If BB did the 98 as they did the 97 the drain is located in the middle of the bus. You have to get underneath (about where the Aqui Hot is located) the bus and use an air hose at 100PSI to blow the junk out of it. Good luck
