Preparing to go Full time!!!!

Well there have been some developments on the full timing front. My daughter is considering moving in with her father next year when he buys a home in Dixie County, FL. I am happy she will no longer be down here in this cesspool of an area. This will free us up to sell the house and skate! He wants her to go to college in exchange for letting her stay with him. She wants to become a vet tech. I truly hope she succeeds.

We were gone for a month this time. She had a few frantic issues during that time that we dealt with over the phone and with the help of our neighbor friends. The house was still standing when we returned...lol The grass was quite high but that was expected. I truly hated to return. Guess I will be stuck here for a bit longer til she moves out and we get the house ready and sold.
Patience was never one of my virtues.

She'll adjust fine. She spent her teenage years in Madison county, FL with her country boy father when I joined the SO. He then moved them to Washington state for a year and then to Kansas for another year while he worked for DOD. She came back to me 5 years ago when our son entered the Navy. She's got Southern roots that run deep.

Actually she is doing a majority of it online and will likely finish up her lab and practicum hours at the mighty UF campus.

Well my last chick has left the proverbial nest. It's all empty now. The house is quiet and still. All the pets are gone as well, except for Hubby's 20yr old cat who's not looking too good these days.
My daughter moved in with her father on Bokeelia, FL on Monday.

When the cat is no longer with us , we will be as free to go away as possible.
(I am not about to put a 20yr old cat on my beloved bus, so don't even suggest that. One "pee accident" and I would have to burn the bus to the ground.)
Hopefully the world will return back to some sort of normalcy by the time this last planet aligns in our life.

On our first bus trip far from home a few years ago all 3 dogs got giardia in Colorado. One puked right over the leveling levers on the floor. Still had the orange carpet then, all has been replaced and cleaned, but it wasn't pretty.

I would smoke a cigar, toss a couple beers back, and get the heck out of Dodge today. Does it feel like you're retired yet?

Well my one year anniversary is coming up for being retired from that career. Given the state of things now, I am sooooo glad I got out. As far as feeling like I am retired, only when I look in the bank and no longer see a paycheck that is mine, do I feel it. I am more busy now than i was when I was working, only difference now is I bust my butt for free. I am the hubby's shop monkey as he loves to call me. He is teaching me to be a mechanic and I am loving it! Just sucks I don't get paid for it. My plan was to use this past year as our big travel year, but life had a way of sidelining that. I have to believe it was all for the best. I still don't know where I want to go first.
