Do you really want Gel or just AGM's? If AGM's Find the Interstate distributor. They should have Blems!

You cannot charge gels along with lead-acid, so go to lead-acid or to AGM's. The AGM's are better because they don't need acid level checking and do not give off corrosive gases like the lead-acid.

A good discounted source for Lifeline batteries is Tom, from the forum, tom@trans-specialists.net, P.O. Box 661, Waleska, GA, telephone 770-634-7530. He will drop ship batteries anywhere in a day or two. Rather than sell the AGM starting batteries to us, Tom suggested using NAPA group 31 maintenance-free lead-acid batteries which are less than half the cost of the AGM’s, but which are not gel batteries and will not outgas as the regular lead-acid batteries do. They have 950 cold cranking amps.

The best price I found on Lifeline AGMs when I bought 6 new ones last year was CenTex out of, believe it or not, Central Texas. They were shipped free via fedex freight too. Here is a link to their website - http://www.centexbatteries.com/contactus.html. Keep in mind what Ron said above though, my 4Ds are house batteries but I use 3 group 31 batteries for as my start bank.

These batteries will be for house use only.
If I am correct the original batteries from Blue Bird were gel.
That is why I am inquiring about gel batteries.
I will check with Tom on the AGM 4D's which are a fair bit less expensive than the gel 4D's.

Thank you,
Andy
