Maybe you could get a base out of an FC, mine has the swivel feature but I have never tryed to swivel the driver's seat. It takes me about 10 minutes to swivel the passenger's seat and it is really not worth the trouble in an FC with the doghouse in the way.

I'm surprised it doesn't
Mine does - and quite easily too
You can always buy an older coach

Doc maybe you do, it is a manual lever on the base next to the floor, yours may be on the wall side of the seat. It's worth a look.

My current seat base will allow SIDE-TO-SIDE movement a few inches. I guess it is to allow easier entry/exit into the seat. Our '93 didn't do that, so is that only an '80s thing?

This 36 footer does not have a table behind the driver seat, and the seat abuts the end of the couch. Well, currently my seat does not travel back much at all. I am short and can't even move the seat back far enough to fully stretch my leg. Someone suggested I get a shorter couch, but there is a Suburban furnace at that end of the couch. What to do? I am concerned about spending $$ on a new seat and it still not fully working for me. I haven't had Randy's knee replacement yet, and with a bad right knee I need to put it on cruise and stretch the leg often, or do so on downhills.

Rick- do you have room when captains' chair is fully extended between couch and chair? We might be able to move the base back.

My seat swivels and the swivel release is in the right arm rest of the seat. It took the wife forever to figure out how to swivel her seat until she asked one day. Since the release is in the right arm rest it is up against the wall so you can not see it.

Rick, not sure about your coach, but I had the same issue with my LX where I could not get the seat back far enough to stretch my legs. When at full travel it would hit the slide wall. Once I changed seats I now have more room than I can use.

Nope, it hits the couch Ernie. And there is no arm rest on the couch. I am hoping a trucker seat has a thinner back rest. I will look at it more when I know what the new seat brings, but I am prepared to abandon the Suburban and shorten the couch if I have to.
