In Russia they are conducting leg bone extension surgery for about 24K and a six month procedure, maybe they could remove a few inches for less time & money.

I've just had an MRI done on my rt. knee. The results: inconclusive. Don't you just love it. I'm about $1500 (my part over and above my lousy insurance) into an aching knee and the results are inconclusive. If I have arthroscopic surgery (another $10k at best) there is a 50/50 chance they won't find anything. I don't even like shots, much less having someone dig around in my knee....and besides, I'm spending all my rat hole money I was saving for a BB.

I wonder if I could get them to shorten that leg while they're in there. That way, even if I bought a twin bed bird I could let my longer left leg stick out into the hall. It would also come in handy if I ever lived on a hill and needed to mow my lawn.

I agree, I think the SP is the way to go. Right now, I just can't think about it.

Stick,

Get somebody else to look at the MRI. They may find something. You need to get the MRI (or a good copy) and take it to somebody else. They can read the same one, so you don't need to do it again.

Don't worry. Even though I live in a town with sub-standard medical care, I came from Atlanta and many of my former neighbors are Emory physicians. I have a call in right now to the Chair of Orthopedics. He's going to read my MRI.

I'll shut up about health problems. Not a fit topic for any discussion, most of all about birds.

I'm going to do my best to hobble to RATS for a while on Friday. I hope some of you guys will be there. I'd hate to have all that Jalapeno Sausage go to waste (or waist)

Hmmmm.....

Woody don't you have a hybrid. A Sp/BMC hybrid!

(Grin)

Also from the FWIW section: BMC ceiling height under the AC and to the carpet = 77 inches. Ceiling height on the kitchen tile to the ceiling just about 78 1/4 inches
