Thats a "Q" bus.
it was the mobile garage or shop truck that the BB techs took to rallys all over the country,it had all kinds of parts in it,and 2 techs.
BB used to have techs at all of the FMCA conventions, they did repairs and gave out all kinds of tech info.
I'm not sure when the bus was sold, along about 2003 maybe?
Before they got the "Q" bus the techs used an astro van for their shop truck, they could bring very few parts with them.

LOL-
Glad someone knows- i've been looking all over wondering "what kinda bus is that??" nothing matched up. all i know by sight are the FC's- the rest, i'm not really familiar with- but i saw that door and i was like "huh?".

here's a truly beautiful bus if anyone is looking for a nice FC- nicest one i've seen (at least the way it's advertised) in a long time- looks like good records available, responsible ownership, etc. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/rvs/1330882660.html

John Finn needs to buy it - think how much faster he can get the lettering on the Wabbit and trailer - also with only 180 horsepower he can still watch the flowers grow as he drives by.

its slow, the techs used to tell me about driving it on the freeway, pull the hand throttle out all the way,and never push it in,if they had to slow down they just stood on the brake,at wide open throttle! never letting the RPMs go down!
Its a 5.9 cummins.
BB built those busses for airport shuttles, some had a storage compartment in the back.
This one was a demo, and they could not sell it,The BB owners (us) requested that they donate it to the service dept for a service truck,so we could have parts on site at the rallys.
They towed the astro behind it.
It was a lettered up with 'wanderlodge service' and more stuff on the sides, the striping on it today was on it then.

i'm wondering how much slower it could be than my FC- but then, i'm one who thinks there's something fundamentally wrong with being in a hurry to get somewhere in a BlueBird-

Kathleen keeps telling me that the whole point of the trip is to get to the destination- me, i'm more of a believer that the destination is just the excuse to take the trip.

It's not the destination, it's the journey!

last year when I left florida heading to "Q" i ended up in Lubbuck Tx before getting to "Q"
Q is on I-10 in AZ and i live 50 miles south of I-10 in florida.so its easy to get to q from here, just go west on I-10 for 5 days and your there.

Lubbuck is quite a ways north of I-10.

15 mpg? If that's true, I'm buyin' a 180hp Cummins. My Tundra gets 16 average.
