Central IA, new owner 1978 FC33 turbo!
Hi All
I just purchased a 1978 FC33 turbo. I know it was originally NA but the motor is tagged as an 87. Its been gutted, i guess someone was going to make it into a rolling restaurant but their plans changed. I hope to be able to get it on the road and enjoying life again. I do have a question and wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. It needs a starter. The one I pulled off is a huge hulking beast of a thing. A 40MT. I've done some research and actually found a post once on here with a replacement starter. A 39MT. For the life of me I cant seem to find that post again with the part number. it had a double solenoid deal on it. I'm also having a hard time with the fuel filter, it has a wix 33356 on it and those seem hard to come by, can i switch that out for something everyone will have in stock? Thanks all
