Default Roof Vents Time to replace with what brand ?

Good Day
Its time for Folks Art to start its upgrading to the 21st Century

Q: What roof vent / brand is recommended to replace the original, these vents have a fand a arm that raises and lowers the cover ?

Thanks

You can get new domes for the price of shipping and other parts to make them new again,a fans pretty much still a fan. The covers that go over them are nice you can leave the vent open in the rain and no water gets in. I looked at some of the newer ones that open as one unit with a remote and all the bells and whistles, just looked like more stuff to fail.

I was able to order the Fantastic fans with the double-wall lid, and I like the thicker lid. It keeps a lot more sound (and light) out.

803380 is the part number for the unit. It's a "3350" type fan with the double-wall lid preinstalled and it's off-white, which looks better in the old interior than bright white. I special ordered them and they were about $220 in 2017 iirc.

Here's a giant picture just to irritate those on flip phones :P

Fantastic fan has the name recognition, but you might also want to look at MaxxFan Deluxe. Here's and example of what it looks like... https://www.campingworld.com/maxxfan...stem-smoke-lid You can probably find them for a little less if you shop around.

This is the same model that we installed in our coach and we really like it. We especially like the fact that the lid design allows it to be opened and the fan operated while it's raining. Don't confuse this lid design with the big, bulky lid designs that always sit well above the roof line. The MaxxFan Deluxe lid flattens down when not in use. It's a very clever design. And we've had no problems with its bells-and-whistles in our 2+ years of full-timing use.
