I disagree. I served my time here for 45 years and am here at least once a month. Straight through town (prior to Sherman burning I-85) was almost always your best bet.

How much further is the bypass than right thru town on I-75 I have gone thru down town probably before the I-285 bypass was built. Don

I'm not sure distance is going to be a factor over the next few months. As long as they can divert all interstate eighty five traffic to the perimeter hwy seventy five shouldn't be too bad. That's in a perfect world. As it is most likely to be the perimeter highway will be clogged with both eighty five and seventy five traffic. For instance I've been at my daughters house just off eighty five north for six weeks. We are just outside two eighty five perimeter and will be going home Friday AM. Our delimna is do we take the perimeter west to seventy five or east. We won't be on seventy five south but a few miles when we exit off on forty one south toward us nineteen to Americus. It ain't going to be pretty any way we go and I know my way around Atlanta. BTW they caught a noted arsonist headed for Savannah with a Zippo lighter and a bottle of Thunderbird in his hip pocket

Stick,
I like seeing you don't hold a grudge.
