Default Just testing the waters

I am new to FORUMS, and I am still a bit confused by the concept of threads.
I am computer literate, but not doing so well here.
Hopefully, I will get a grip of this system because it looks like it could be a very useful tool researching topics for my 1997 Bluebird 40 foot BMC.

Smile General information would be wonderful

Is there a way to locate other owners by state, or radius from my area other than Rallies? I plan on attending rallies in the future buy have some issues with my BMC to contend with first.

Secondly, I can't seem to locate a Model Number of my Rig. I have found Tag data under the cabinet above the front windshield area, but it does not give a model number. I have a 1997 BMC 40 foot with a tag wheel.

Thirdly, I have downloaded some manuals, but they don't seem to be specific to my coach. Electrical Schematics would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance.

Jay, welcome.
There are a few different lists around. One of them is the Wanderlodge owners database, which I maintain. It can be found in the thread linked below.

Welcome Jay,
You have made a great choice in both your bus and WOG. As a relatively new owner I can tell you a couple of things.
#1. You can't be any more confused than the rest of us were ( sometimes still are ) about all the systems on the Bird.
#2. WOG is the best group of people ever to own an RV. They are knowledgable and always willing to help.
So don't be wary about posting your questions here. There are great people that can and will guide you through the wonderful world of Bluebirds. They are the best RV's that were ever built but have some very real differences from other RV's in how all of the systems are operated. Confusing at the start to be sure.
As an example I had to be told how to operate the w/s washer on my 87FC by Randy. ( Believe it or not I had been pushing the wrong button )
So jump right in, the water is fine and help is only a post away.
Fred

Default Loving the Coach

I am proud to say I am an owner and part of this family of BlueBirds. I didn't come to own one by accident. I have owned the newer RV's and have had my last problem with sildes and leaks of such.
My only regret is the fact that I can't seem to access areas to trouble shoot problems and mainly have a minimum of drawings/schematics to check electrical problems.

Glad you found a Bird! Adding “1997 Bluebird 40 foot BMC” to your permanent signature would help with future posts.

welcome to wog jay
there are schematics for 97 40-footer in here somewhere,,
i had one for a while you may want to explain what your having problems with,,your coach is on a spartan chassis so any thing on chassis can normally be found at their site but a lot of things are common to servile different birds ..
