I'm a DFW guy and worked for the big blue company there for 31 years of which 27 were in DFW.

You may want to look at Arlington. There are a couple of parks there. They are a little tight but safe and convenient.

If money isn't a big deal and you want really nice look in Grapevine at the Vineyards. It is really nice on Lake Grapevine and you can take the train in.

You probably don't want to be down on Commerce in a mobile home park.

Northlake Village in Roanoke isn't bad.

There are COE parks on Lake Lewisville in Lewisville if you don't require sewer at the site.

I wouldn't recommend Sandy Lake in Carrollton if you see that one.

Tree Tops in Arlington may be the way to go for closest and best rates etc.

Thanks George! I didn't even know Dallas had a train! That is a great idea.
I like Grapevine and hopefully they have a decent monthly rate. Closer to my sister in McKinney (Van Alstyne) too I think...
We are planning to make a slow trip up there this weekend and it will be the maiden voyage with bad tires and needing engine work (hoses/belts) but I figure it will make it one way or the other (on back of flat bed truck)... We have RV.net insurance (I think that's the name)...

post an ad on dallas craigslist...I've done this before and the locals usually give you real good advice - may even find someone willing to rent you a place to park.

I think Grapevine is daily only. It is quite expensive. I hope they have a monthly rate too, but I don't think so.

This Destiny isn't too bad and you can grab a train close by too.

I stay up in Sanger, TX at Wagonwheel, but both my sons and my Doctor are in Denton County. It is out away and you can grab a train in Denton I think.

Thanks George, I talked to Grapevine and they quoted about $1000/month!
It must be really 1st class for that much... We are debating about staying in a hotel downtown until we find the 'right' park to live in...
Which train do you take from Grapevine? How long does it take to get into D?

I was never a train man. I know you can catch the T at the South end of the airport. I am sure it will take you downtown.

Beltline Station on this pdf is probably best. Centrepoint may be cheaper I don't know.

There are some big data centers in the area of the Beltline station including the customer location where I used to work.

George picked out the ones I might recommend. Tree Tops in Arlington and Sandy Lake in Carollton are Carefree Resorts. Both are priced in the mid $400 range monthly and both are in safe areas but public transportation won't be easy from either.

There is another right on Highway 75 Central Expy. just north of Plano, but I don't know the name or anything about it. Right on the highway so likely it would be noisy.
