Default Fuel Mileage

Jim Brookshire said someone they traveled with swore to him they got more than 10 mpg. I can't remember who but it wasn't us.

I am happy with my 8.5 give or take 1/2 mpg depending on terrain and wind at typically 60-63 mph. One of the benefits of a BMC 37.

But we are on our way to Colorado, so that number might take a hit.

I really don't mean to be rude... but if you cant afford the fuel... you cant afford the car/coach/truck/tractor/etc

If I had to calculate the cost of this money pit, I'd have to give up box wine and go for the pills

Finn's the racer maybe he as a thought. What kind of fuel mileage does the Wabbit get at 110 miles per.

I'd like to see a chart of fuel usage on a BB. Like I said my old FC I believe (?) actually could get 10 miles to at 55 but push it to 70 which was about all she'd do and I know it dropped back to around 7

To be honest I don't drive it for the gas mileage, nor the cost of operation, as far as that goes the same thing goes for my 'Bird too, I just live in it full time and enjoy traveling in it.

There is/was an old adage with aircraft ownership, "fuel is cheap" I remember paying $4.00/gal. for AvGas in LaCeiba, Honduras back in '95... That was sticker shock back then!

Crit,

That's looking roughly like 6.7 mpg. How fast to you tend to run?
