The grease travel from the base of his center right hand finger to the second knuckle. Randy is a tough guy and knew this was not good so he squeezed the grease back out, put a patch on it and finished servicing his Coach. Last night his hand started swelling and I'm sure he was in a lot of pain. Carol took him to the Bainbridge ER and from there they went to Tallahassee where surgery was performed at 3 AM today. They think all will be OK and the damage to his hand will mend. Randy my be able to post latter today but we need to let him rest. He will let us know when we can call him to get the rest of the story.

This is a lesson for all of us. A grease gun can be very dangerous as well as many of the tools we use often. Ensure you know what can happen and be ready. This was a simple mistake from one of the most knowledgeable of Gear Heads. Who would have thought a simple twist of the pressure regulator would cause an ER visit and then Surgery.
Rick or someone, is there an update on Randy?

Question

Wow! Sorry to hear about Randy! Our prayers are for him indeed!

On a side note, what kind of grease gun does he have?????? I have had my air operated gun for a little over 40 years. It still works fine and I see no reason to replace it. I have it plugged directly into my compressor (no regulator), which is an 100 gallon, 5 HP model, set @ 225 PSI. It also doesn't even come close to having enough pressure to inject grease through skin. That's to much pressure! If I do have to replace mine, I don't want whatever Randy has, hence my question.

TOM

Just received a Text from Carol. They did not get to go home last night. Observation needed but they are waiting for a new bandage to be applied then hope to be released. I m sure Randy will have plenty to tell us when he gets home.

Not sure what type grease gun he has. I do know it ain't new to him.
