Very cool! I've been following this build for a while ..they have done a lot of cool stuff (4 cylinder Briggs is awesome). The nephew has a sight called "small engine mechanic" and he does a lot with old generators... Very smart guy!

Hard to know what the idea behind that is. But it might make it easier to adjust the mixture, compare to Colortune:


I read somewhere, a few years ago, about the difficulties that chemists have in understanding all that happens when an IC engine burns fuel to make energy. They were up to building with clear ceramics so they could see more of the process. The chemistry of the burn is supposed to be more complicated than the sun . They said they doubt they'll ever understand it completely. That's gasoline for ya. The propane fuel looks pretty good (clean).

Its critical how you tighten the plug.

From the manual.
But don't tighten it up more than 1/46 of a turn or you will damage the washer.
