Take your time or you could end up with an overprice money pit. There are more than a few folks on this site doing research and waiting years before purchasing.

Don't be discouraged.
Keep looking and you'll find a deal.
Mine was a repo and only 45 minutes away from my house
And I got into it less than your budget.

THIS.

Everyone wants a cheap bus, until they get a cheap bus.

You had better have a lot of mechanical experience for something like that.

No free pony's ??? I don't know any one who hasn't spent a bunch of money on their coach(s). There is some luck in this but over time things seem to equal out.

So true. Been dreaming about a bird for years. Set price and expectations from a few years back and now as John says price has gone up now that I have some free capital. That's why I lurk on here all day long as we all do that are shopping. Cause if you sleep those deals get snapped up in minutes. I.E. presidential FC and that one that Mike inspected up north or that FC on BBB. Expectations, cash flow and availability all have to coincide.

You can boondock in this baby for years plus it will fit in most State and Forest Service campgrounds.

I want to thank everyone for putting up with my "Cheap Bird" thread. After lurking for 15 years I have finally taken the plunge. I purchased a 96 WB42 for a cheap price and now I have to get to work . The roof leaks, the ceiling needs repair, microwave not working, fridge is not cold enough, floor tile cracked etc. etc. The bones are absolutely solid the DD 60S pushed us 1460 miles home over the Rockies at 60 mph on cruise 90 % of the time and the jake kept the brakes rarely used. It was a one owner coach bought out of the factory in 96 and I have a bluebox stuffed so it barely closes. I will get her in shape and hope to be on the road full time in September of 2018 right after my sons wedding. You all have been an inspiration, a wealth of knowledge and advise. Please join me as I hope to post videos of our endeavors. I think that will end up to be her name too "RV ENDEAVOR".
Thank you all

Doug and Sharon Long

Doug if you are replacing your fridge do yourself a favour and consider the option of a regular house fridge. You wont be sorry.
