Don can you send photos of your cut off valve?

When I cleaned my water system this past spring, the pump filter was thoroughly clogged with gunk, if you don't have a filter, it's possible your pump needs cleaning.

I'll try to remember to take a photo tomorrow. On mine, the Driver's end of the "box" around the water tank has a large opening in it. On the right side is a drain, a 2-inch pipe, with a holding-tank-type pull valve that will drain the tank in nothing flat. The line to the pump comes from the left (front) side, and runs across the floor of the bay towards the rear. It has a ball valve, then a tee. The tee runs to another ball valve and a few feet of coiled hose.

I assumed this was standard factory, since it is described in the manual, 4-12.4.1. Number 6 describes the second valve, and 8 describes both.

6. Unroll coiled hose under road side end of fresh water tank. Hose is connected to valve assembly under tank (Bay 2, left).
7. Feed open end of hose into container of RV antifreeze. Approximately 3 to 5 gallons required.
8. Close the valve on the suction line coming from the fresh water tank and open the valve from the RV antifreeze line.

Update, I replaced the pump with the 'improved' Remco Aquajet pump, I used the strainer off the old pump, took 20 mins. There is no lag now when we turn on a faucet, pressure is great, and seems a little quieter.

Hi Lance,
Is the Aquajet still working for you?
I installed similar in my PT, but that was made by Aquatec in Irvine CA. It worked great, but now the Amazon reviews seem pretty terrible for Remco version:

https://www.amazon.com/Remco-55-AQUA...9565917&sr=8-3

I have this one now, which is clearly replaced the original Aquatec, Aquajet II. ( see the prior mounting holes)
https://www.amazon.com/Shurflo-40481...9565764&sr=8-4
But, it is leaking from the pump head. I don't know how old, but am guessing less than 5 years. I could probably rebuild it with new seals, but why bother?

I'd like to buy a good quality one that lasts. And puts out nice flow / pressure.
Things don't seem to be made like they used to.

Thanks,
Doug

After 3.5 yrs, my Aquajet pump is working flawlessly, wonder if you received a bad pump?

We have used sur-flow for years in the boats and that is what is in the FC.
No problems, plenty of flow.
