Mallie,i have never seen a 2nd bung,but some may have it.
I learned something too,i did not know aquahot had units with 2 elements.


My plan to deal with cold weather is to go where i need AC,not heat.
But,sometimes i get caught...

hi jim
about 30 years ago a engineer that i know just bought heating element(these were 240 volt with 2" threads i think and worked in 2" pipe tee so about 1,1/2" or so insertion as well) and installed them in line with with perimeter fin tubes i added a sequencer that added heat as temperature dropped out side...
we could add a couple elements in pipe inline with return water to aquahot boiler...food for thought

I am for easy!! Just plug in another electric space heater. Cheaper too.
