Default Window awning straps

We use our 7 windows A LOT! Normally every time we stop.
I noticed a few days ago that I was getting small bumps on where the straps were pop rivited onto the tubes. They were pulling loose from the strain of 10 years of wind pulling on them.
I bought some 3/16 stretch cord off Ebay and some squeeze nails and connected it to the loop and the bus hook.
This allows the awnings to stretch a little before putting a strain on the straps.
