Hmmm, no idea if the same but, my AquaHot did that to me after I turned the water temp mixing valve down to much. I cranked it up a bit warmer and the problem was resolved.

The symptom could mean electric only - the electric elements can get the water hot, but cannot maintain it, while the diesel should keep up.
yes diesel works fine

The heat pump is your air conditioner on top. It is a reverse cycle air conditioner/heater. will heat down to about 40 degrees. Not efficient under about 40 degrees.

I still don't understand why I have to flip three switches to get hot water. Two in the bay and one under the stove. Now it is 10:30 pm and all have showered and all the dishes are done and I have to go out in the rain to turn off the two bay switches. Then come back in and turn off the one under the stove...or let it idle and rumble around all night.

Has anyone remoted the two bay switches to inside?

Am I missing something here like I usually do?

On the outside box I leave the upper switch on all the time (which powers the circuit board). The lower switch is the hot water switch, and was never attached on my coach. It was replaced by a switch on the dash called "Hydro Heat" so yes, it was remoted at the factory. I don't know what percentage of M380s had that done.

Even though I have a remote switch I still consider the electric water heater installation to be one of the better mods I've done with mine.

Yes Ron I used to hate doing that too, I fitted a remote switch in the toilet room as this normally the last place i visit before going to bed and the first i visit in the morning, this avoids the slide out for the wiring, My added wiring went through the locker box's until after the slide out then up through the floor and switch is mounted on wooden bit that covers the wiring i where the floor meets the wall in the toilet room, east job

Thanks guys.

I don't have a Hydro Heat switch on the dash so I may attempt the remote to the toilet.
