Good question. I’ve wondered the same thing since my ‘79 doesn’t have them. I need to weld a receiver where I currently have a drawbar, and have wondered if I need to add rollers at that time.

yes, on rare occasions, always a driveway transition, our bird also has a generator exhaust pipe out the rear.

On my 35. They have hit. We cross a few creeks on gravel roads. And have hit there also

I was wondering about the need for them on the LXI 43.... Any of the owners out there that could speak to their experiences with driveway inclines. Is it an issue , what potentially could be damaged?

I wish my 42' had them or some skid plate. My bumper was pulled loose when I got out coach, spent plenty or repair and paint. And in an exit from a spot where there was a very slight transition, it drug again, luckly did not take the bumper. The tag axle does very little to support in these situations.
