Default Narrowing choices can cause brain cramps!

I like the Bluebird owners' slavish loyalty and their bus' reputation for strong construction, but there is also Eagle and Prevost and MCI based rigs which claim the same. I'm trying to see at least 1 or2 of each over the coming week. Saw our first Eagle today, early 80s. NO rust!, loved the looks of the torsilastic suspension, incredible front windshield size, BASEMENTS!, 8v92 looked pretty good for a DD, interior very dated, but quite a few new components, but and this is a BIG but.....I'm 6'1 and was brushing my cap walking down the center of the rig. This was a raised roof (don't know how much) conversion, I was shocked. It looked like pretty much any other Eagle RV conversion from the silver side era. Are there different heights of roof raises on these older buses? I just don't understand why the big entertainers flocked to these, unless this was pretty much an industry standard interior height so they just went for the best bus. Hoping to see a PT40 tomorrow and a handful after Turkey day weekend. This is an Ark, TN, NC, GA, AL, (possibly MS), scouting trip. Would love to swing down to FL and see some advertised there but my back is going to be screaming just doing this and with very short driving days to allow even this much of a trip, so maybe next time we'll hit FL if nothing pans out his go-round.

how difficult is removing airline storage bins in forward compartments?
What is left behind? NIcely finished walls or gaping holes and exposed framework?

Are the BMC 37s and 40s the same height inside?

Are DDs the only bus engines that used the front of the crank to run those 90* differentials for remote compressors, fans, alternators, and who knows what all? Some of these Rube Goldberg looking arrangements make me cringe at the potential for things to go haywire. I'm sure it never does thought, right?

Twiisted71 needs to attend a BB rally to see the choices and clear up the confusion with other brands, no 90* in Bluebird Wanderlodge DD's.

Are Eagle torsion bars still serviceable? I've seen people adding airbags

Invest in tuition, a small price to pay, see a lot of BB's all in one place, with very experienced owners, Cheaper flights to Orlando Disneyland.

You need to buy that 89 WB40 in your back yard on Randy's site, freshen tires and batteries and enjoy the rest!

Wanderlodges never had a v drive on a pusher coach.
The engine is turned around backwards from a truck or car,but its not sideways or upside down or anything weird.
The ONLY coachs with a V drive were the old GM buses (that i know of).
There may be some weird transit bus with a V drive, not my thing at all.
