Default I've got a leak from my rear axle / differential. How bad?

So we are currently parked in Manassas VA. Hoping to head further north towards MA in the AM. Then I noticed the leak...

Speedco in Mebane NC said our Diff fluid level was low a few days back and refilled it. 14qts low but the fluid they drained looked good with no silver. Plug looked good. Said we had a leak at our pinion seal. That it should be replaced but not an emergency.

Drove from there to where we are now in Manassas VA. Been parked here for three days. Seems like it's leaking from the curbside wheel area now. It's a very very very slight decline towards the curbside where we are parked. No noticeable leak from the pinion seal area on ground. No leak from street side dual.

What do you think?
Should I get this taken care of immediately or is it not that big of a concern?

It's a R 155 NX8 axle according to the BB plate.

You have a blown wheel seal. That grease/oil is running into the brake drum soaking your brake shoes and will not get better. It needs to be fixed. Any Class 8 truck shop can make this repair.

While they are fixing the wheel seal have them check your vent cap on the top of that axle to make sure it is patent. Mine is located on the curb side top of axle.

Like Ed said if the vent is plugged it will leak oil

This. May well need to replace brake linings too. Oil soak means won't brake much.
Emergency? No. But needs to get fixed asap.

Ditto what everyone else said.

Since you are headed up to lovely MA you might as well call Dunveavy's truck and trailer repair in Brookfield, CT (right along the path) at (203) 775-9199 and set up that seal fix.

What has been previously stated about your seal, but you will have no brakes on the leaking seal side of the coach and the other side will be doing all of the work to brake the coach which will cause additional heating and cause that seal to fail. I would find a class 8 truck shop and have them replace the seals on both sides as well as the brake shoes on the leaking side as they are now useless due to being oil soaked and no mechanic will put them back on.

The oil soaked brake shoes will smell pretty bad when you have driven it and braked for a while and the other side wheel which is not leaking will be very hot from doing all the work to stop the buss.

Can be done in a couple hours.

I would not, unless see or feel damage. Seals give out MUCH more often than bearings.
