Default BROKEN STUDS

on a recent walk around , I noticed on the drive wheel 5 broken studs Iam parked for the week and feel lucky to have made it here without incident . I will not drive until repaired .
It seems to only be on the driver side wheel . could there be any issue going on , or is this just the result of over tightening ?
thank you in advance for your help . :

mike , so true I actually had to drive 40 miles after seeing the wheel . more stress than I like for sure .
Steve , thanks I will reach out to Rich .

With our coaches , a walk around is a must do . I kept thinking of what could happen if that wheel were to brake loose

I was behind a buddy that lost his left rear wheels. The outer wheel spun off across the road and then back the other direction in front of his coach and out in the desert. Coach laid down on top of the inner dual and skidded to a stop.

I was behind a semi that lost a drive wheel. It came off, and I'm not sure of the physics of this, but it passed the semi like it was sitting still. The tire then went into the median and started bouncing and went high into the air and came down on a car going the opposite direction. It ended up killing the female driver of that car and she may not have even known what hit her, because the tire literally came out of the sky. Needless to say there was a lawsuit over that one, but it never went to court.

Jim. Jim, all them smok'n burnouts finally caught up with you

Wow, 5 broken studs on one wheel, scary for sure! Tires shops (commercial) should be able to change out studs on site

I'd be curious who serviced it last. Sure seems like over torque to me!

Al, do you have hub piloted wheels...or do you have stud piloted wheels?

That's the first thing the shop will need to know.
