Default Sharp Carousel Model R1830 parts

Our 22 year old Microwave panel went out so I pulled it out . The door is great and the manual and turn table are available if anyone has the need for that old a model. Just cover the cost of shipping. Let me know. Ordered the new Binford 3000 watt instamatic thaw nuclear powered model..

Did that Binford fit the hole? I bet it cooks popcorn in 3 seconds!

John, Before you throw it away and buy a new one, take the outside cover off. Inside you will see a ceramic fuse. Costs about $2 at Radio Shack. Mine went out about three years ago. We started looking around for a replacement and found they were expensive. The Convection/Micros that size don't seem to be cheap. Anyway, I will give credit where credit is due. John Mace told me to replace that fuse and see if it works, and it did and has worked perfectly since. I even have a spare fuse if you need it. I think I bought a pack of three for less than $5.

Thanks for the heads up. The fuse was fine but the touch panel was dead. I took it off and tried CRC to clean it (works on everything including Poison Oak)
but it was still dead. It was time -22 years is not bad. Now the fridge is giving
me indications of dying. I haven't checked cause there yet but will in the next month. Possible time to upgrade there too.

I was able to trace the issue with the fridge to the eyebrow board. It had a questionable circuit board . After a long search I found a replacement board
(getting hard to find) for $55.00 . it is working fine now.
