Default false level alrm 2000 lxi single slide

I have a false level alarm on my 2000 lxi single slide. The light is on in the middle of the dash and the buzzer goes off. Can someone help me with this challenge.

Mine did that a year ago and I just unhooked the buzzer wire. Mine is located in the front panel under the windshield. Can't help you where yours might be located.

If the jacks are up and stored, probably the level warning light is telling you that the slide is not locked in the retracted position. An Aux switch located on the upper left of the center dash will kill the buzzer or it does on my bus. Check the lights on the HWH contril panel in the front bay to see if all are green.

HWH tied the slide locking pins into the level warning circuit. Try extending and retracting the slide to get the locking pins to engage

Thank you for the feedback. The accessories switch to the left of center on the dash kills the alarm but the light stays on. I ran the slide in and out a few times and it sounds like the pins are locking or at least trying to lock when it comes in. Only had a little time today. Will try to look at lights in the bay and find the fuse tomorrow night. Thanks for your help.

you do know you need to hold the slide "in" switch for 30 seconds after the slide is in?

I wouldn't be pulling fuses to extinguish the level warning light. It is telling you sometning needs "fixed".

It is a simple matter to check the the lights on the HWH control panel, they are labeled and will tell you which switch is open by the color of the LED.

For Safety’s sake, you should know that in case the slide locking pins are found to be your problem, they should be fixed. This is because the slide is presently being held in the retracted position by the captured hydraulic oil in the slide cylinders. Yes, the bus is drivable in this condition but not advisable on a long term basis because the slide could extend itself going around a curve or making a right turn. If, by happenstance, the spool in the slide’s hydraulic directional valve happens to move off center, the holding pressure of the hydraulic oil captured in the holding circuit could be depleted and the slide could extend itself. This is why HWH included the locking pins on their slides to provide a positive lock up to keep the slide from moving in case of a hydraulic component failure
