Mike,

What was the final fix/solution to your problem?
Where the symptoms the same as Al?
Please see earlier questions of mine.

Thanks, just trying to find out as much as I can about slide issues.
Dennis

Was just wondering if having the generator (or perhaps even the Detroit) running wouldn't alleviate any potential battery issues. My jacks work better with more electricity as they depend on an electrical pump to make hydraulic pressure. I don't have slides so wondering if the slide cylinders need more pressure, although I would think lifting 1/4 of 25 tons with the vertical levelling jacks would need a lot more muscle than moving a horizontal slide?

I really can't see this being hydraulic, i would think it's got got be something on the electrical side.

Maybe these are dumb questions/suggestions, I don't know. Just trying to help. I'd be seeing if it works with the Jenny running, and if not, then maybe even the Detroit once the levelling jacks are down.

BB "fixed" the rear slide low voltage problem by removing the slide from the coach's 12v system and dedicating a big 120VAC > 12V converter to the slide. Now the rear slide only moves when 120VAC is available.

This isn't directly related to Al's issue, but it is an example of how the correct amount of power can be important.

The coach engine should always be running when using the HWH system. It draws a massive amount of power. The fix on my coach was in the control panel/electrical box mounted in the first bay on the drivers side of the coach. The connectors that BB used were all re-crimped and tightened. The slides and jacks have worked flawlessly for over a year since. Probably should not have said that. This was after another experienced BB shop tried to repair and told me that I need a new something that I could get rebuilt for about $1600.00.

We are enjoying Al and Erika's visit. Yesterday we got Al's new toad electrified and hooked up, and we then enjoyed some awesome chicken 'wangs' he whooped up.

Al, I bought my bird from Alliance and instisted they take it to Parliament for the slide work(new seals etc). I had issues with the rear jacks no going down and therefore no slides. To be honest, I just kept messing with it and have no idea what I did if anything to fix it, but all the sudden the jacks went down and the slides went out. I was a hero to the wife but I didn't tell her I still had no idea what I did! Then again we have been married 37 years so she already knows!

Slides have always been a love hate relationship. Good luck!
