New autostart control panel for the old Perkins.

I bought one of these a few years ago.

It's been sitting in a box which I am tired of moving, so I started the process of installing it. It will take a few weeks as I am now taking the bus for a two week holiday, but I ripped all the wiring apart and pulled the old box off so there is no going back now. I will post some photos and a parts list in case anyone else wants to tackle this.

I mounted the new panel in the cubby inside the entry door. It was nice and handy and I have never used that space for anything.

Not much to see disassembly wise. I ripped the old box out and labelled everything.

There are 25 circuits to run the new panel, so I went to the autowrecker and cut the engine harness out of a late model van that was conveniently stripped out and accessible. I pulled the harness apart and made a new one with 25 different colored circuits for about $20.00. Everything is labelled as they are connected to the back of the new panel

My generator bay looks a little different than most as I have changed it around quite a bit, but this process would be the same for any other old Perkins.
