After I had the motorhome pulled out of the mud (another thread, https://www.wanderlodgeownersgroup.c...ad.php?t=33843). I took it for a short ride to get some fuel and make sure it was running good. It stalled 3 times when I came to a stop. It started each time but not right away. I had to turn it over for a while. I'm changing the fuel filters tomorrow. I just hope the fuel line isn't partially clogged from possible gunk in the fuel tank. Has anyone ever had that issue?

Symptoms suggest fuel delivery issues. I would remove fuel tank cap and disconnect fuel inlet line at Racor and blow out the line running to the tank with compressed air. Then power the Facet fuel pump and ensure that it’s working and refill fuel line. Reconnect and test run.

Well I found some new fuel filters that I had and replaced them. When I started the engine I had a lot of bubbles coming out of the feed line into the glass filter for a long time. Figured out that when I put pressure against the filter they stopped. The new filter o-ring is not sealing around the inlet. New filter coming tomorrow. I think it's a good idea to blow the line out too. Can I unhook it at the Racor and pressurize the fuel tank an blow it out that way instead of back into the fuel tank. If there is **** in it I'd rather not blow it back into the tank.

Does the 82 have a hand primer pump? Mine was ducking air. And would stall at a stop

No fuel in the valley. Going to change the Racor filter tomorrow and blow the line out. It has a hand primer but I think the o-rings on it are worn out, doesn't do much but I tightened it real tight. If it was the throttle body seal wouldn't it stall every time I stopped? It only seems to do it after climbing a hill or after a several mile run. Going to replace the glass filter again and clean the tubes real well and oil the seals before I replace it.

While you have the doghouse open check the voltage/connections at the fuel solenoid. We had a similar problem due to a loose connection.

You have a 1982. Blue Bird did not add an electric pusher pump at the rear until 1983.
Add an electric pump near that back to push fuel up to the engine. Otherwise the lift pump within the injection pump has to suck fuel through multiple filters. It looses prime typically when coasting to a stop. It can be a real pain to get started again. It's a wonder it worked at all with no electric pump.

I will check the solenoid. I replaced it about 3 years ago. An electric pump is a good idea. Won't be able to until we get back.
