Default Name That Valve!

Continuing to investigate the systems in our PT40. Found this solenoid in the fridge compartment. And it’s been disconnected. Is this by chance connected to the LP alarm as a system shutoff in the event of a leak? Should it be connected to the twisted pair of wires capped off with wire nuts? Where can I find a replacement if necessary?

It does not connect to the twisted wires... it should have a black "lamp cord" pair of wires that run into the coach where the sensor is.. mine was under the dinette seat near the floor.

Thanks for the valve info. I also located the wires to the unit inside the coach. So a new valve and reconnect and the LP/CO cutoff should now work.
So now I still have that twisted pair of white wires that are capped off What are those wires for? I’m finding some of the safety systems disconnected so I want to track all of these mysterious wires when I find them.

Also found a plug and cable labeled “Easy Heat” unplugged in the cabinet as well. Black holding tank heater? Is there an issue with these that would make it better to leave unplugged? Do they have an internal thermostat or other control circuit?

Dave- the twisted pairs are for some old propane sniffer boxes that were in the reefer compartment, furnace compartments and other places in the coach. I don't think that they operate any more.

The Easy Heat plug is most likely for the freeze protection tape wrapped around your water lines going back to the water heater and shower valve assembly. It may be still good, but some have it disconnected out of fear that it may overheat- resulting in a coach fire. You can test it by using an Ohm Meter to get a reading between the plug connectors.

Seems to me that the sniffer shut off solenoid should be located in the main propane line, not just the fridge line .... but maybe that's just me.

Randy,
The shutoff valve in the picture does shut off the main LP supply line, but is physically located in the fridge compartment area. It would be after the low pressure regulator if I had one. I think one of the POs replaced the high pressure regulator with a 2-stage and just removed the low pressure regulator. All the LP appliances seem to work just fine with this setup.

I am wondering if there is value to returning to the High/Low pressure regulator setup as original, or if using a 2-stage is better (safer).

Anyone have any thoughts?
